Details for "Career Transition SIG: “What Works and What Doesn’t in a Job Search”"

No transition is ever made without having to overcome a few obstacles on the way. They may be mountains or molehills; either way they can sap your energy and defeat your will power. Being forewarned is half of the battle. Join us for an interactive 10 point discussion on how to permanently deal with temporary setbacks. Learn how you can smooth the road that you are travelling to your New World.

In business most executives say that they know only half of their advertising works. Part two of that statement is “If I only knew which part, I could really save some money.”   Job searches are just like advertising and the product is You

In this interactive presentation we will explore activities that definitely produce results, some that might get results and some that don’t work at all. The job market is constantly changing and it is really important to find the right combination of activities to get Your next job.

Speaker Linda Kay

Linda Kay has successfully coached more than 400 people through their job searches. She has consulted with a major international outplacement firm for more than 4 years and uses her 10-year background in marketing professionals and small businesses to create unique job search strategies.

Linda is a principal in Career Coaches, an outplacement firm specializing in one-on-one coaching for resume development, interviewing skills and practice, job search techniques, notorious networking, and nerves of steel negotiating. Career Coaches also offers workshops on Career Change Strategies, Interviewing Like a Pro, On the Road to Entrepreneurship, and Hitting the Wall.
