Details for "Career Transitions SIG: “Mastering the Behavioral Interview”"

The use of behavioral interviewing has increased substantially in the hiring process as leaders have begun to hone in more on the key knowledge, skills, abilities, personality attributes and behaviors that make an employee successful in a particular position and in their organization. Understanding the structure and purpose of behavioral questions can give a candidate a definite advantage over others interviewing for the same position. We will discuss how these interviews are formulated, how to uncover what the interviewer is really looking for, and what to do if you feel you lack the experience to fully answer a behavioral question. Bring along your experiences and questions concerning behavioral-based interviews.
