TOPIC: Planning for Thanksgiving The SAVI Way
SAVI (System for Analyzing Verbal Interactions) provides an analytical, research-based structure which is concrete and data-driven. It focuses on specific communication behaviors which lead people to take a more direct look at what they’ are doing in their daily interactions. SAVI'’s framework can be used to describe and track these communication behaviors. It raises awareness of how we can more effectively solve problems through successful verbal interactions and identifies communication behaviors that can be barriers to transferring information and ultimately create more problems.

As a Principle with the organization development firm People-People, Michelle works with organizations on leadership development, team development, change management, and enhancing communication. She is currently working with a mid-sized oilfield services company to integrate two newly merged companies, and has used SAVI to help these organizations develop a ³common language.² She has worked with a variety of companies, ranging from a small architectural firm to Fortune 500 companies. Michelle¹s past work experience includes Director of Strategic Initiatives and Change Management Consultant for Arthur Andersen Business Consulting, and Managing Principal for Aon¹s Human Resources Consulting group. Michelle received her Ph.D. in Organizational Psychology from Rice University in 1989.
