Speaker Mattison Grey, M.Ed.

Position: Founder and President
Company: Greystone Guides

Event Description

Persuasion is old school, influence is in! Successfully navigating transition is all about influence. How you get people to help you, make referrals and ultimately hire you depends largely on your ability to create an environment of cooperation and influence. Once you have the job the real challenge starts. Many interactions at work are confrontational at worst, competitive at best, and cost the organization valuable, time, money and inspiration. People's opinions and ideas are important to them. When they don't feel respected or heard they "put the brakes on." How can you get things done in a cooperative way in which everyone is inspired and on board? Come to this session to learn how and to hone your influence-ability!

In this session participants will:
  • See how people are accidentally creating resistance and conflict by trying to persuade and how to turn that into cooperative influence.
  • Honor all ideas and still get the "right" thing done.
  • Understand the central distinction in Human Performance and how to leverage that distinction to get more done while in transition or from any point in the chain of command.
  • Inspire even more innovation and cooperation than already present.
